lyrics

Rhodora climbs beneath the heavy snow
To find the world above again aglow
With the scent of spring and all those shiny things.
All the roses there take to their rows.

I had walked alone many times
Through all of those dawning years of mine.
Now I write rambling prose
And dawn my whiskey coat
And its lachrymose,
But it helps me pass the time.

That’s the whole wide world we found.
It filled my palms, it made my parents proud.
You were purpose in an empty room,
A friend I couldn't keep.
You holy ghost of audio I knew I’d never be.
Oh, what a shame
That’s how you remember me.

When I’m lonely
I am waiting on disaster.
I put that heart break into my heart.
When I am lonely
I am waiting on devine hands
I am waiting on the right words
I am waiting on a sign.

I break the dark of night with telephones.
Let that fluorescent hum in
Take a hold.
I scroll through photographs
Summer skin and dimpled laughs
That’s how I paint my past to punish parts of me that let it go.

That’s the whole wide world we found.
It filled my palms, it made my parents proud.
You were purpose in an empty room,
A friend I couldn't keep.
You holy ghost of audio I knew I’d never be.
Oh, what a shame
That’s how you remember me.
